Cards of Life – audio document

Andrzej Bohdanowicz, known as ‘Koń’ [the Horse], was a legend of Warsaw’s bohemian scene. He was born in the Vilnius region in a noble family, which the Soviets deported to Siberia. He died on 26 October 2021 at the age of 89. One obituary described him as: “A Free Man, whose life was richer than all the films in the world. A Wonderful Friend, the king of anecdotes, the enemy of boredom and an excellent poker player”.

In an audio document by Joanna Sikora from the Reportage and Documentary Studio of Polish Radio Białystok, he talks about how his deportation shaped him.
