Eugeniusz Niebelski
“The notebook” is somewhat damaged, has no cover, no title, and the cover is shades of light brown; internally, it has seven pages, some of which have retained a distinct white birch colouring and bark texture; there are fragments of one more page, cracked in strips. It was stitched on the spine tightly with twine, but only a fragment of this stitching remains. Inside, on one of the blank pages, is scribbled (in an untrained childish hand?): “Gormak Władysław” and the year 1945; we do not know how to interpret this. The notebook contains well-known poems and songs by Maria Konopnicka…
